Man calls for help after wrecking ATV

KINGMAN - A Kingman woman was killed early Monday morning after she drove off the road and into a power pole.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to Patsy Drive and John L Avenue at about 6:30 a.m.

According to deputies, the woman - who will be identified once her family is notified - was not wearing a seatbelt.

She was unconscious and paramedics revived her before she was ultimately transported to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, where she was pronounced dead Monday evening after she was removed from life support.

Divers search for man

LAKE HAVASU - A 50-year-old man who jumped into the water to cool off just before noon on Monday sparked a search after he didn't resurface.

The man was boating near the Windsor Beach boat ramp.

Deputies could not locate the man Monday and divers with the Mohave County Sheriff's Office and Lake Havasu City Police Department resumed the search on Tuesday.

Injured ATV operator

WICKIEUP - A 63-year-old Kingman man was able to call for help after crashing his ATV and injuring himself Sunday near Wickieup.

Vincent Meiste, 63, rolled his ATV near Windmill Ranch.

He called 911 to report the accident and the fact that he was bleeding.

Mohave County Search & Rescue units responded to the ranch, off of U.S. 93, and quickly located the man, who was pulled from the ridge by a Kingman-based Arizona Department of Public Safety helicopter crew.

The man was ultimately taken to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas with head trauma and other injuries.
