Drug cases dominate Mohave County Grand Jury's attention

KINGMAN - A Kingman man who allegedly possessed stolen checks that were linked to at least one burglary in the city when he was arrested last month has been indicted.

Christopher Dean Willmon, 44, faces felony counts of taking the identity of another, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

While serious, Willmon was indicted on far fewer crimes than what he was arrested for Aug. 17. On that date, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office also charged Willmon with alleged possession of prescription pills and heroin.

Willmon will be arraigned at the Mohave County Jail at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Judge Steven Conn was assigned the case. All arraignments will be held at that time unless otherwise noted.

The Mohave County Grand Jury also indicted:

• Melissa Renee Walls: Theft and possession of burglary tools.

Judge Rick Williams will arraign her at 8:30 a.m. Friday.

• Lance Kelley Therrien: Theft of means of transportation.

Judge Derek Carlisle will arraign him at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

• Steven Christopher Darby: Transportation of marijuana for sale (more than two pounds), possession of marijuana for sale (more than four pounds) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Carlisle was assigned the case.

• Eric Benjamin Brown and Karen Lea Garner: Possession of dangerous drugs (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Williams will arraign Brown at 9 a.m. Sept. 11. Garner remains in jail. Conn was assigned her case.

• Shoula Diane Pearson: Possession of drug paraphernalia (methamphetamine) and first-degree criminal trespass.

Williams was assigned the case.

• Mark Wayne Maughon: Aggravated assault by domestic violence, child abuse by domestic violence and resisting arrest.

Conn was assigned the case.

• Dylan James Laing: Possession of dangerous drugs for sale (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia (methamphetamine), possession of dangerous drugs and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Carlisle will arraign him at 8:30 a.m. today.

• Troy Dean Hansen and Mary F. Smith-Hansen: Possession of narcotics for sale, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia (methamphetamine) misconduct involving weapons, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.

Conn was assigned the cases.

• Damiean Robert Foster: Possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Williams was assigned the case.

• Kathryn Christine Steiner: Child abuse by domestic violence and aggravated assault by domestic violence.

Conn was assigned the case.

• Pedro Loza III: Second-degree burglary and two counts of forgery.

Carlisle will arraign him at 8:30 a.m. today.

• Diana Marie Johnson: Shoplifting as a third offense and organized retail theft.

Carlisle was assigned the case.

• Jared Tate Pollock: Unlawful use of means of transportation and misdemeanor theft.

Williams was assigned the case.

• Jahn Kristopher Johns (two cases): First case: First-degree criminal trespass by domestic violence. Second case: Possession of drug paraphernalia (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Williams was assigned both cases.

• Cruz Albert Ruvalcaba: Possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor shoplifting.

Carlisle was assigned the case.

• Joseph Ernest Triplett: Two counts of taking the identity of another, two counts of forgery and theft of a credit card.

Conn was assigned the case.

• Soledad Caldera-Banuelos: Importation of narcotics, transportation of narcotics for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Carlisle was assigned the case.

• Aaron Nathaniel Moore: Transportation of marijuana for sale (more than two pounds) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Conn will arraign him at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

• Christopher Lamar Pratt, Randall Powers, Juston Don Sawtelle, Ralph Pat Leroy Folster III, Candyce Lynn Hatfield, Luis Alverto Garcia, and Andrew Nicol Ashley: First degree burglary, misconduct involving weapons, theft (class 3 felony) and theft (class 6 felony).

Carlisle was assigned each of the seven cases.
