The Laureate Beta Epsilon chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority met for their "Beginning Day" social on Aug. 31 at the home of JoAnn and Ed Reisbeck. They began the afternoon with many varied snacks provided by several members and socialized for a while, afterward progressing to an Italian dinner of lasagna, tortellini with alfredo sauce, Caprese salad, other salads, and cheese bread. Members and guests attending were: JoAnn and Ed Reisbeck, Chris and Bruce Fink, Corliss and Pat Foley, Roxie and Gene Daniel, Marsha and Bud Gatlin, Pat Luelling, Elyse Siokos, Camille Patula, June Schultz and Sid Kindig. Also attending was JoAnn's brother, Mike Jenkins, from Moreno Valley, Calif., and Camille's daughter and husband, Liz and Randy Punches, from Henderson, Nev. Our other four guests were: Naomi, Tilly, Zip and Cubby, all canines, belonging to members and guests. After the festivities, several members and guests enjoyed an evening swim in JoAnn's pool and then were served a delicious layered dessert, compliments of Roxie Daniel. A delightful time was enjoyed by all who attended. During the evening, Roxie Daniel, retiring president, was presented with a lovely scrapbook of her year as president of the chapter.
