Detours planned on I-40 for DW Ranch Road ramps

Be prepared to take the long way around

KINGMAN - Ongoing paving work on Interstate 40 east of Kingman will affect motorists who use the DW Ranch on- and off-ramps Thursday and Friday.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the eastbound off-ramp at DW Ranch, which is exit 60, will be closed from 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday. Drivers will be detoured to Blake Ranch Road, exit 66, then return westbound.

The DW Ranch on-ramp will be closed to motorists from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and will detour to Kingman before heading eastbound. This is also a 6-mile detour.

Most of the westbound lanes have been paved along the 15-mile segment of the interstate between Rattlesnake Wash and U.S. 93 - mileposts 57 to 72. The project is on track for a late October completion, according to ADOT.
