KINGMAN - Local musician Chris Commisso will be putting on a concert tonight at Grace Lutheran Church to celebrate the release of his new album, "That New Chris Commisso Record."

"This is my first new CD in over two years," said Commisso. "The concert will be a mix of everything; a few new things and some older songs. A whole mix of stuff."

The CD will go on sale for tonight for $12 and features 14 new tracks. Commisso has been releasing some tracks via Youtube over the last few months, including "Return to Route 66" for the Route 66 Festival in August.

One of his tracks, "Singing in the Sound of Oz," pulls inspiration from classic Hollywood musicals such as "Singing in the Rain" and "The Wizard of Oz."

"I'm most pleased of that one. I took my favorite musicals and put them into one modern track."

Drummer Kevin Waeley will join Commisso for a couple of songs during the concert.

The free concert will start at 7 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 2101 Harrison Ave.
