Letter: Pardon next for Bergdahl

Accused deserter Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl is now expected to face prosecution for the alleged desertion and misconduct while on duty. He was held four or five years in "captivity" in Afghanistan by the Taliban after allegedly tossing his weapon away and deserting his post. He needed to be rescued and five vicious terrorists being held at Gitmo were traded for him.

Obama held a dog-and-pony show in the Rose Garden last year, where he was practically fondling Bowe's mother, to announce Bowe's release. Bowe now must face a court martial. If he is found guilty of the charges and is sentenced to any prison time, what are the odds that Obama will give him a presidential pardon?
