Col. Gordon J. Buchanan, 82, passed on Nov. 26, 2014, in St. Louis, Mo. He was born Sept. 29, 1932 in Chicago.
His wife, Duey (Duane E.) Buchanan, 79, passed on March 1, 2015, in Town & Country, Mo. She was born Oct. 20, 1935 in Chicago.
They were residents of Kingman for 10 years (1998-2004 and 2009-2012). Gordon worked for Mohave County and was active in the Marine Corps League, Elks, VFW and several other local organizations. Duey was active in the Kiwanis Club, Silent Witness, Sheriff's Posse and several other organizations in Kingman.
They lived with their daughter and family in Chesterfield, Mo., since May 2012.
They are survived by their daughter, Barbie Trapp and her husband, Tom Trapp; and two grandsons: Chris (Trapp) Buchanan and Nicholas Trapp.
There will be a memorial service celebrating their lives at the Recreation Area No. 1 in the Hualapai Mountains at 1 p.m. on April 11, 2015. An honorary military service will be performed for Gordon. All are welcome.
