Letter: Planned Parenthood's defenders are wrong

Don't buy the Alan Choate liberal talking points!

Mr. Choate's opinion on Planned Parenthood is straight out of the liberal spin machine. He is obviously pro-abortion and has no issue with our culture of abortion on demand, at any time and for any reason. Never mind the rights of the unborn baby.

One fact not mentioned by him is that according to Planned Parenthood's own annual report, they aborted 327,653 babies in 2013. That equates to 897 babies per day, or 37 babies per hour, or .62 babies per minute.

Planned Parenthood will not tell you that in Virginia, for example, blacks represent 19.8 percent of the population, yet almost 42 percent of the abortions in Virginia are black babies. This would certainly please Margaret Sanger, the woman who founded Planned Parenthood in large part for eugenics, or "good breeding." She wanted to weed out the unfit.

Whatever your opinion is of the disgusting videos, they are factual and disturbing. There is no doubt that abortions are performed in a particular time and procedure to maximize the viability of the "fetal tissue," or as I call it, the unborn baby. When value of harvested parts become a priority, the motive for the procedure becomes suspect. We, as a nation, will be called to account for what we have done and continue to do with the abortion industry.
