Desirae Gonzalez was selected as the first Student Rotarian from Kingman High School for the 2015-2016 school year by the Kingman Rotary Club on Sept. 16. Her parents are Danny and Melissa Gonzalez.

Desirae was selected because she excels as a student, athlete and citizen. Some of her activities include being a member of the National Honor Society, FBLA, Key Club and Letter Girls Club. She has received several awards, including FBLA region and public speaking champion, four years honor roll, science student of the year and Microsoft Office specialist, as well as several athletic accolades.

Desirae recently signed her letter of intent to play Division I basketball at the University of Nevada, Reno.

The Kingman Rotary Club is proud of Desirae and all of her accomplishments. She is a great representative for the Kingman community.
