Miss Jeanie went home to the Lord at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015. She was born in Nampa, Idaho, 84 years ago, she would say. Her parents were Mary (Broadbent) Doane and George Oliver Doane.

Miss Jeanie went to school in Nampa. Upon graduating from high school, she joined the Navy. She was in the service for several years.

When she left the Navy, she married Fred Chapman. He was a disc jockey. Together they had one son, Grant Chapman. Grant resides in Tennessee with his wife and two children. Jeanie and Fred have two beautiful grandchildren, Conner and Elleree Chapman from their son and his wife.

After retiring, Jeanie and Fred returned to live in Henderson, Nev., for several years. Fred passed away many years prior to Jeanie and is buried in the Henderson Veteran Cemetery in Boulder City, NV. Jeanie's ashes will be laid to rest next to her loving husband Fred.

A celebration of life services will be held at the LDS Church Chapel on Rutherford in Kingman at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23. She will be missed greatly by all of her surviving family. She was a great person.

Miss Jeanie, we will miss you.
