Irene Klein died on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 2015, in the Cerbat Guest Home 45 days short of her 101st birthday. Irene was born on March 30, 1914 in Wisconsin.
She leaves a daughter, Marguerite Steele of Kingman; and three grandchildren, John Steele of Kingman, Jeff (Chris) Steele of Las Vegas and Cindy (Pete) Norris of Lake Havasu City; great grandchildren Trenton, Wes, Mandy, Wendy and Michelle; and nine great great grandchildren, Quenton, Kiley, Donavan, Dylan, Joseph, Ben, Abby, Weston and Saylor.
"Mom" was a good homemaker and loved to cook, sew and do all kinds of crafts. She worked for the Thrifty Drug Store in California for a number of years. She moved from California to Tucson, then on to Kingman in the 1970s, where she spent the rest of her life.
Daughter Marguerite reports Irene first went to the doctor when she was 94.
