Meth possession

On Jan. 7, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Justin James Koch, 35, of Kingman on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies responded to a home in the 2800 block of Devlin Avenue and detained a burglary suspect at about 8:35 a.m.

Koch was on the ground and another man stood nearby. The caller said they saw Koch coming from a neighbor's home carrying firewood.

Koch allegedly told deputies he thought the property was abandoned. A search allegedly revealed two plastic bags containing meth. He could be charged with trespassing and burglary once deputies contact the homeowner.

Warrant

On Jan. 7, Mohave County deputies arrested Kayla Sarah Wyant, 22, of Kingman on two felony failure to appear warrants issued by Mohave County Superior Court and a misdemeanor failure to pay fines warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

Deputed responded to a home in the 3100 block of McVicar Avenue regarding the warrants and took Wyant into custody without incident.

Two arrested for drugs

On Jan. 11, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Janet Marie McCarthy, 54, and Karla Sue Wilson, 46, both of Kingman. McCarthy was arrested on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license and two misdemeanor warrants issued by Kingman Justice Court for failure to pay fines and probation violation. Wilson was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies pulled over McCarthy on Bank Street at Gordon Drive at about 12:20 a.m. A record check revealed her license was suspended and the warrants.

A search of her vehicle allegedly revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance on the passenger side floorboard.

Both women were taken into custody without incident.

Out of compliance

On Jan. 9, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested John Anthony McCombs, 54, of Chloride on a felony charge of failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

Detectives discovered McCombs was not properly registered as a sex offender during the course of an unrelated investigation.

They contacted him at a home in the 4800 block of Bullion Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. and took him into custody without incident.

Dangerous drugs

On Jan. 12, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Dale Thomas Braband, 26, on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license.

Deputies pulled over Braband on Benton Street at Neal Avenue at about 8 p.m.

A record check revealed his license was suspended and a search of Braband's vehicle allegedly revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance and a digital scale.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Child support

On Jan. 12, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Kelven Mark Hodges, 52, on a felony failure to pay child support warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court.

Deputies located Hodges at a residence in the 3100 block of Jagerson Avenue regarding the warrant and he was taken into custody without incident.

Paraphernalia warrant

On Jan. 14, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Kaylee Nicole Burnside, 24, of Kingman on a felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

Deputies contacted Burnside during a traffic stop in the 3500 block of Thompson Avenue at about 12:25 a.m.

A record check revealed the warrant and a search allegedly revealed she possessed a glass pipe with residue.

She was taken into custody without incident.

Fugitive warrant

On Jan. 14, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Mark Andrew Rutherford, 41, of Golden Valley on a felony fugitive from justice warrant.

Deputies contacted Rutherford during a traffic stop on Ty Street in Jagerson Avenue in Kingman at about 5 p.m. A record check revealed the Nevada warrant.
