Woman indicted for alleged prison assault

KINGMAN - A woman who allegedly assaulted a detention officer in the Mohave County jail in Kingman last week was indicted on three counts of aggravated assault when the Mohave County Grand Jury convened last week.

Janet Rose Driggs, 52, reportedly kicked the female officer, pulled her hair and grabbed her by the neck after the officer spoke to her about personal hygiene.

Judge Billy Sipe was assigned the case. Driggs will be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the jail, where all arraignments will occur unless otherwise noted.

The grand jury also indicted:

• Benjamin Earl Hasman Jr.: Possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Judge Lee Jantzen was assigned the case.

• Larry Joe Roberts: Theft of means of transportation.

Judge Steven Conn will arraign him at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 26.

• Michael A. Jones Jr.: Aggravated assault, two counts of criminal damage, two misdemeanor DUI-drugs and 10 counts of misdemeanor endangerment.

Sipe was assigned the case.

• Diana E. Chandler: Aggravated assault. Sipe will arraign her at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

• Kent Nelson Thompson: Theft of means of transportation.

Sipe will arraign her at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

• Mark Lee Morton: Aggravated assault and disorderly conduct involving a weapon.

Conn was assigned the case.

• Lois Ann Nixon: Possession of drug paraphernalia.

Conn was assigned the case.

• Pamela Denise Bass: Possession of marijuana for sale (more than four pounds) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sipe was assigned the case.

• Charles Allen Hopp and Kathryn Christine Steiner: Possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of narcotics for sale, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of misconduct involving weapons.

Conn was assigned the cases.

• Christopher Andreas Moffitt: Transportation of methamphetamine for sale, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Conn was assigned the case.

• James C. Riccobono: Aggravated harassment per domestic violence, unlawful flight from pursuing law enforcement vehicle and three counts felony endangerment.

Jantzen was assigned the case.

• Ricky Walter Sanchez: Two counts of aggravated assault by domestic violence.

Sipe will arraign him at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

• Anthony Lewis Cavalier: Misconduct involving weapons.

Sipe will arraign him at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

• Alana Marie Avelar: Aggravated DUI-drugs, with minor present.

Sipe was assigned the case.

• Dennis Lee Aldridge: Misconduct involving weapons and first-degree criminal trespassing.

Sipe was assigned the case.

• Samantha Ann Byler: Third-offense shoplifting and shoplifting using an artifice to facilitate.

• John Jay Carroll: Aggravated domestic violence.
