Letter of thanks: More Christmas cheer

Our 2014 Christmas Day Dinner held at the Dolan Springs Community Council Building turned out great. We served and delivered to the homebound a total of 350 dinners. The turkey, ham and all the trimmings, including pies, went well.

We would like to extend a special thanks to those who donated goods, provided in-kind services and/or made cash donations, as follows: Sons of the American Legion, Mohave Rancho Lumber, New Beginning Ministries, John Graves Propane of Ariz., Smith's of Kingman, Wal-Mart of Kingman, Dolan Springs LDS Church and a very special thanks to Westside Disposal for their donation of turkeys and hams.

Deliveries of boxed dinners were transported by the Dolan Springs Senior Transit Van, driven by Becky Barrett, assisted by Charlotte and Walter Kiffer, to the homebound residents.

We must recognize and thank the volunteers: Kathy Dodson-Long (kitchen manager), Lynn Rosati, Richard Long, Irene Ahuna, Sue Baughman, Ladona Cypret, Patsy Jose, David Craig, Celeste Irons, Gary Sims, Mary Jan Shaffer, Allen and Sean Dixon, Ann-Marie and Jackie Dixon.

All of the above volunteers helped to prepare, serve, deliver food and clean up, thus making this dinner a success.
