Mohave 911: Women accused of drug violations

KINGMAN - On Jan. 21, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Traissa Ann Ramus, 38, and Tania Ann Bishop, 49, both of Kingman. Ramus was arrested on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor charge of possession of prescription only drugs. Bishop was arrested on felony charges of possession of dangerous drugs, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor count of possession of prescription only drugs.

Deputies pulled over Ramus in the 3000 block of Northern Avenue at about 9:45 p.m. A consent search of her purse allegedly revealed three pill bottles and a burnt spoon with white residue. Deputies said the bottles contained prescription pills; prescription pills deemed dangerous drugs and marijuana residue.

A consent search of Bishop's purse allegedly revealed a syringe containing a yellow liquid, burnt spoons, a small plastic bag containing a white crystal substance and a pill bottle containing prescription pills and pills identified as dangerous drugs.

The women were taken into custody without incident.

Drug paraphernalia

On Jan. 21, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Robert Lynn Costello III, 29, of Kingman on three felony charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies pulled over Costello in the 2900 block of Devlin Avenue at about 8:35 p.m.

A consent search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a glass pipe with residue, a metal container with marijuana residue, an electronic scale with white residue, and a straw with a piece of burnt tinfoil.

Costello was taken into custody without incident.

Drug warrant

On Jan. 21, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Kasey James Bustamante, 24, of Laughlin on a felony possession of dangerous drugs warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

Deputies contacted Bustamante during a traffic stop at Bank Street and Peart Avenue at about 3:35 p.m.

A record check revealed the warrant and Bustamante was taken into custody without incident.

Warrant, paraphernalia

On Jan. 14, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Ryne Matthew Rotenbury, 22, of Kingman on a felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and a felony probation violation warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court.

Deputies contacted Rotenbury as he walked across a field and onto Hearne Avenue near Castle Rock Road at about 4 a.m.

A record check revealed the warrant and a search allegedly revealed he possessed a glass pipe with residue.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Failure to pay child support

On Jan. 19, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Cleo Mullins III, 35, of Kingman on a felony failure to pay child support warrant issued by Pinal County Superior Court and driving on a suspended license.

Deputies stopped Mullins for alleged speeding on Northern Avenue at Sierra Vista Road at about 3:40 p.m.

A record check revealed the suspended license and warrant. He was taken into custody without incident and given a citation for speeding.

Warrant

On Jan. 18, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Michael Vernon Lay, 32, of Meadview on a felony failure to appear warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court.

Deputies contacted Lay at a home in the 600 block of Spencer Drive regarding the warrant and took him into custody without incident.

Warrants

On Jan. 17, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Breonna Glenn Bloomberg, 25, of Kingman on a felony failure to appear warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court and a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

Deputies pulled over a vehicle in which Bloomberg was a passenger on Eagle Drive at Robin Lane at about 12:40 a.m. A record check revealed the warrants and she was taken into custody without incident.

California fugitive

On Jan. 17, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Betty Lea Deaton, 41, of Kingman on a felony fugitive from justice warrant issued out of Santa Barbara, Calif.

Deputies contacted Deaton at a home in the 4000 block of Lum Avenue during an unrelated investigation. A record check revealed the warrant and she was taken into custody without incident.

Felony DUI

On Jan. 16, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested John Scott Doyle, 44, of Kingman on three felony aggravated DUI charges.

Deputies observed the operator of a scooter swerving numerous times and traveling into the opposing traffic lane before the operator allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign when he turned onto Benton Street.

Deputies pulled over Doyle on Benton Street near John L Avenue at about 10:10 p.m.

A records check revealed Doyle's license was suspended. Doyle reportedly admitted to drinking alcohol and after field sobriety tests an analysis of his blood alcohol concentration allegedly registered 0.197 percent.

He was booked into custody without incident.

Aggravated harassment

On Jan. 21, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Karl William Koch, 34, of Kingman on a felony charge of aggravated harassment by domestic violence.

Deputies responded to a home in the 3800 block of Hearne Avenue on Jan. 20. The alleged victim, 36, told deputies she had a valid protective order against Koch, her husband, and that Koch had left a number of voice and text messages on her phone. Deputies could not locate Koch on Jan. 20, but the next day the woman reported Koch followed her into a storage business and yelled at her while he hit his car. Deputies reviewed surveillance footage at the business.

Deputies located Koch at a home in the 4000 block of Lum Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. The man reportedly told deputies his wife had his phone and "was making up all kinds of false text messages," according to sheriff's office spokeswoman Trish Carter.

But Koch had his phone and deputies took it as evidence.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Warrant

On Jan. 18, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Dennis Ray Kubas, 56, of Kingman on a felony probation violation warrant issued by Coconino County Superior Court.

Deputies contacted Kubas at a residence in the 1900 block of Devlin Avenue regarding the warrant and took him into custody without incident.

Probation violation

On Jan. 22, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Christopher Allen Collins, 27, of Kingman on a felony probation violation warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court and a misdemeanor failure to pay fines warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

Deputies contacted Collins at a home in the 3100 block of Packard Avenue at about 9:35 a.m. and took him into custody.
