KINGMAN - A Kingman man was arrested June 29 after he allegedly tried to attack a police officer.

Cesar Eliud Quintero, 25, was arrested on felony aggravated assault on a police officer and misdemeanor charges. Quintero was arrested at 1:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of Colby Drive.

After police arrived at the location, they learned that he had left the area on foot. An officer located Quintero, who allegedly moved towards the officer aggressively and attempted to strike the officer in the face with his fists.

Police said the officer was able to evade Quintero's movements and was not harmed during the contact. An officer deployed his Taser to gain compliance of Quintero. Ultimately, Quintero was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

Drug charge

KINGMAN - A Kingman man was arrested on a drug charge June 27 after he was stopped for a moving violation.

Brandon Francis Adcox, 19, was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, and a misdemeanor charge of driving on a suspended license. Police stopped him at 7:40 a.m. in the 3800 block of North Stockton Hill Road.

The arrest comes after police stopped Adcox for a moving violation. He was found to be driving on a suspended license and in possession of methamphetamine, said police. Adcox was booked into the Mohave County jail.
