Jan Turner, 77, of Kingman, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2015, after an extended illness. Jan was born in Hammond, Ind., to John and Lillian Turner on Aug. 3, 1937.
Jan married the love of his life, Nancy, on July 29, 1957, and shortly thereafter his passion for hot rods and fast cars began, a passion that lasted a lifetime and that he passed on to his four boys. He relocated his family to Kingman in 1977 when he established Jan's Auto Salvage and eventually founded Andy Devine Auto Sales.
Jan is survived by his wife, Nancy, of 57 years; four boys, Dean (Arlyn), Bryan (Denise) and Terry (Becky), all of Kingman, and John of Fairbanks, Ark.; one sister, Diana Pietrzak of Bourbonnais, Ill.; five grandsons, Kevin, Nick, Chris, Tony and Trace, all of Kingman; two granddaughters, Melissa (Chris) Robinson of Peoria, Ariz., and Sara of Glendale, Ariz.; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the KRMC Hospice and Cerbat Guest Home for the excellent care and support. There will be a celebration of life/open house from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 3054 Camille Lane.
