MEADVIEW - The Hualapai Tribal police chief was involved in a head-on collision with a motorcyclist late Monday afternoon on Diamond Bar Road near Grand Canyon West.
Kenneth Fouts, 29, of Las Vegas, was allegedly riding his motorcycle at 50 mph in a 35 mph zone at milepost 10 when he crossed the centerline and hit head-on an unmarked police vehicle driven by tribal Police Chief Francis Bradley, according to Mohave County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Trish Carter.
Fouts sustained serious injuries and taken by air to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, where he was listed in good condition as of Wednesday.
Neither Bradley nor his passengers were injured.
Fouts was cited for speed too fast for conditions to avoid a collision.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
