Louise H. Homer was born Feb. 24, 1943, to Alice Lane and passed into the presence of her loving savior on Feb. 22, 2015.
Louise lived a rich and full life filled with joy and grace. When Louise was 4 years old her family moved to Carson, Calif., where she attended school and eventually graduated from Inglewood High School in 1961. Louise met and fell in love with Jerry Homer Sr. in 1959. They were married Nov. 19, 1960.
As time passed, Louise built her family and worked many jobs, from shoe stores to restaurants, even taking in babysitting to make ends meet. She was a hard worker, generous, gracious, and most of all a loving mom and wife.
The highlight of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved them with all of her heart and they felt it every day. Her grandkids affectionately called her "Gago."
Louise is survived by her husband Jerry Homer Sr. of Kingman; her son, Jerry Homer Jr. (Rosalba) of Kingman; her daughter, Tracie Padilla (Matt) of Kingman; her brother, Danny Wymer of Kingman; her grandchildren, Derek Murdock (Mahayley), PJ Homer, Devin Homer, Matthew Padilla Jr., Shane Padilla, Melani Padilla; her great-grandchildren, Preslei and Averlei Murdock; and many extended family and friends.
There will be a celebration of Louise's life at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 7, at Praise Chapel, 419 Harrison St. In lieu of flowers send donations to Praise Chapel Missions.
