She is survived by a large loving family that includes her brother, Walter McDonald, a daughter, Beverly Poole, and son Daniel Young, as well as nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Joan was a Lake Havasu City pioneer who moved there in 1971 where she worked and retired from McCulloch Corp. In her younger years she loved to dance and went to many competitions. It was a great joy in her life. She also loved her Yorkie dogs and throughout her life could always be seen with one by her side. Joan loved her baseball and was the Arizona Diamondbacks' biggest fan. Even in her old age, she would love to go to a few games per season. She was a loving and proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Private services will be held.
Donations can be made in her name to the Western Arizona Humane Society. The family would like to thank the kind and friendly staff at KRMC and KRMC Hospice for their commitment and support through the entire process.
