Duey (Duane E.) Buchanan, 79, passed on March 1, 2015, in Town & Country, Mo. She was born Oct. 20, 1935, in Chicago. She was a resident of Kingman for 10 years (1998-2004 and 2009-2012). She lived with her daughter and family in Chesterfield, Mo., since May 2012.
She taught physical education at LeRoy High School, Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University for more than 27 years. She graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Ill., and received her masters degree from ISU in Normal, Ill. She was active in the Kiwanis Clubs, Silent Witness, Sheriff's Posse and several other organizations in Kingman.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbie Trapp and her husband, Tom Trapp; and two grandsons: Chris (Trapp) Buchanan and Nicholas Trapp.
There will be a memorial service celebrating her life at 1 p.m. on April 11, 2015, at the park in the Hualapai Mountains. All are welcome. Please RSVP to email@example.com.
