Lorelei Jacobson, 17, was selected to be a Student Rotarian by the Kingman Rotary Club. Her parents are Jeff and Araceli Jacobson.

Lorelei says she feels honored to have received this recognition, as she realizes its importance and esteem within our community.

Some of her honors, awards and extracurricular activities include varsity girls' soccer, KHS Fashion Club president, student body president at KHS, and JV and varsity girls' tennis. Her artwork has been used on two school club shirts, Odds Out and Hispanic Student Union. Her artwork has also been featured on a vacation Bible study shirt for St. John's Methodist where she has spent many hours participating in fundraisers.

Lorelei says she is absolutely planning to further her education. She is a proud future Warren Wilson College Owl (Asheville, N.C.) and she feels she is very fortunate to have received a full ride there to further her interests in writing, particularly journalism.

Lorelei hopes to one day achieve her goal of becoming a traveling photojournalist for National Geographic.

Lorelei is very thankful for this beautiful award.
