15 from Kingman Middle School make regional band

KINGMAN - Kingman Middle School sent 15 band students to the Northern Arizona Regional Middle School Honor Music Festival on May 2 in Page.

The event features the honor band, choir, and orchestra and is sponsored by the Arizona Music Educator Association.

This year's region honor band was under the direction of Rick McEnaney, district fine arts coordinator for the Clark County School District in Las Vegas.

Nearly 450 students auditioned for the group from 12 schools in northern Arizona.

Kingman Middle School matched Sinagua Middle School in Flagstaff for the most students to attend the festival.
