Germaine Agatha "Mae" (Heimann) Koehler entered into eternal life on May 14 in Kingman. She was born Jan. 27, 1931, in Sheboygan, Wis. Mae is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Heimann, her son, Timothy Koehler, granddaughter, Abby Bucholtz, four sisters and two brothers.
Mae is survived by her husband of 59 years, Arthur Koehler, and sons, Stan (Peggy) Koehler of Kingman, Steve (Paula) Koehler of Appleton, Wis., Glen (Robin) Koehler of Kaukauna, Wis. and Jeff (Grace) Koehler of Oneida, Wis., and her daughter Rita (Dan) Bucholtz of Dale, Wis.; three sisters, Hildegard, Dolores and Rosemary of Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mae is the youngest of 10 children raised on a farm before she married Arthur. They owned a dairy farm for 30 years before moving to Kingman in 1994. Over the years Mae loved cooking, baking, gardening and raising her children on the farm. Mae also liked bowling and playing cards. She did a lot of volunteering at St. Vincent in Kingman.
Services will be held in Freedom, Wis., on Saturday, May 30. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Alzheimer's research.
