KINGMAN - A Kingman man has been indicted on weapons charges after he allegedly took a shot at a pedestrian Oct. 20 and then kept Mohave County Sheriff's personnel at bay for six hours when they responded to his home to arrest him two days later.

John Dee Page Jr., 35, allegedly took shots at a 46-year-old man who was walking near his home on Patsy Drive. The man reported the crime and Page was picked out of a photo lineup, according to sheriff's office spokeswoman Trish Carter.

Two days later, sheriff's deputies, members of the multi-agency gang enforcement team and the sheriff's Tactical Operations Unit responded to a home in the 3200 block of Jewel Street. Page refused to come out of the home. Officers believed he was armed and spent six hours trying to get him to come outside with no response. They found him hiding in the attic.

The Mohave County Grand Jury indicted him on felony counts of aggravated assault, drive-by shooting, discharge of a firearm at a structure and misconduct involving weapons.
