Guest Column: Circle of Love: KCCU turns 40

Kingman Cancer Care Unit's 40th anniversary is a beautiful and amazing story. For 40 years, a small group of caring and passionate volunteers have helped local patients with their expenses, transportation and needed equipment, as well as providing emotional support for patients as they battle cancer.

The community has made this possible with its kindness, donations, and fundraisers. This is the "Circle of Love." Without the continued support of the community, the Kingman Cancer Care Unit would never have enough money to help the hundreds and hundreds of patients who need help. We want to thank each and every one of you who has helped us.

On Nov. 14-15 (next Saturday and Sunday), we will have our Annual Arts and Crafts sale at the Mohave County Fairgrounds to celebrate our 40 years. We will begin with a grand opening at 8:45 a.m. Saturday with several special guests, including Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.

The fair doors will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., so be sure to visit the dozens of booths displaying handmade items. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, meanwhile, will be greeting visitors at the Santa Castle outside until 3 p.m.

Please come and join us for the food, fun, and shopping! We know that you will have a good time.

And many, many thanks to the whole community for your continued help and support!
