KINGMAN - Two Kingman residents who were arrested in late October in connection with the death of a 3-year-old boy have been indicted.

Cory Stephen Williams, 26, and 27-year-old Tiffany Ann Stotser were taken into custody without incident Oct. 29 after the final autopsy report from the Clark County (Las Vegas) Coroner indicated the boy was a homicide victim. The boy died Aug. 6 from blunt force head trauma.

Williams was indicted on a charge of manslaughter and child abuse by domestic violence and Stotser was indicted on a charge of child abuse by domestic violence.

Judge Lee Jantzen arraigned the pair Tuesday.

The Mohave County Grand Jury also indicted Richard Dean Smotherman, 31, a Kingman man who was arrested on a charge of sexual abuse in late October.

Kingman Police detectives conducted a brief investigation of an incident that involved the alleged assault of a girl, 12, that occurred earlier in October, according to Kingman Police spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki.

Smotherman allegedly admitted to the offense. He was indicted on felony counts of sexual assault of a minor under 15 by domestic violence, sexual conduct with a minor under 15 by domestic violence, and child molestation by domestic violence.

Judge Steven Conn will arraign him at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

The grand jury also indicted:

• Andrew Joseph Smith-Hartfield: Manslaughter, three counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of misdemeanor DUI.

Conn will arraign him at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

• James William Gauntt: Failure to register as a sex offender and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.

Judge Billy Sipe arraigned him today.

• David Andrew Muehlhausen and Judith Lee Hill: Five counts of sale of methamphetamine, sale of narcotics, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of narcotics for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jantzen arraigned them Tuesday.

• Seannah Mae Balzer: Child abuse by domestic violence.

Conn will arraign her at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

• Daryl Douglas Powell: Possession of marijuana for sale (more than four pounds), transportation of marijuana for sale (more than two pounds), possession of narcotics for sale, transportation of narcotics for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Conn will arraign him at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

• Patrick Aaron Ramirez: Possession of narcotics for sale, transportation of narcotics for sale, possession of marijuana for sale (more than four pounds), transportation of marijuana for sale (more than two pounds) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Conn will arraign him at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

• Casteil F. Hamlett and Richard A. Loper: Possession of narcotics for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Conn will arraign them at 8:30 a.m. Monday.

• Robert Allen Cota Jr.: Possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, promoting prison contraband and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license.

Sipe arraigned him today.

• Dominic Lucian Velasquez and Matthew Thomas Barreras: Transportation of marijuana for sale (more than two pounds), possession of marijuana for sale (more than four pounds) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jantzen arraigned them Tuesday.

• Katrina Jean Buck: First-degree criminal trespassing.

Conn will arraign her at 8:30 a.m. Monday.
