Kingman employee under investigation; many details unknown

KINGMAN - The Kingman Police Department announced Monday that the Arizona Attorney General's Office and the federal Department of Homeland Security has initiated an investigation into a city employee, who has been removed from the workforce.

Details remain thin, but KPD spokeswoman Jennifer Sochocki said both the city and the employee are cooperating.

"We can confirm special agents with the Arizona Attorney General's Office and [Homeland Security] special agents served search warrants this morning at Kingman City Hall," said Mia Garcia, spokeswoman for state Attorney General Mark Brnovich.

The search warrant is sealed, she said, and no arrests have been made.

The Miner will provide more information as it becomes available.
