KINGMAN - A tractor-trailer wrecked and dumped a load of lumber near on West Beale Street near Interstate 40 at 6:55 a.m. Thursday, blocking traffic in both directions.

According to Kingman Police, the driver of the red 1997 semi, Guy Leo Arcia, exited westbound I-40 to Beale Street but didn't slow down enough when making a right turn. The truck's load shifted, tilting the truck left and causing it to topple onto the driver's side, and the cargo of wood scattered across the road.

Arcia was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center for examination. Police cited him for failing to control his speed.

The Arizona Department of Transportation and city of Kingman personnel got the truck back on its wheels, and it was towed away. The road was cleared by 9:15 a.m.

ADOT inspected the truck to see if equipment issues factored into the wreck.
