KINGMAN - Entries are being accepted for the Veterans Parade scheduled for Nov. 7 on Beale Street in downtown Kingman.
The parade, which had previously been held on Northern, runs from Sixth Street to First Street, ending at Locomotive Park.
Participants will line up around 7 a.m. in the 500 block of Oak Street, and the parade starts at 10 a.m.
A veterans' ceremony will be held at Locomotive Park after the parade with games, booths, music and food vendors.
The theme of this year's parade is the 50th commemoration of the end to the Vietnam War, and organizers are looking for Vietnam veterans to participate in the parade.
"Basically it is a 'Welcome Home' to all the military personnel that served during this time of need," said Dave Stafford, chairman of the parade committee. "Currently we are still looking for sponsors and participants as well as volunteers."
For more information about the parade, go to the website at www.kingmanvetparade.org or contact Stafford at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, Lingenfelter Center and The Gardens Center will host a Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 11 to honor residents and staff. The parade will start at Lingenfelter Center at 1099 Sunrise Ave. and proceed around the neighborhood, ending back at the center.
