On Sept. 30, 2015, Michael Lawrence Rumsey of Bullhead City was suddenly summoned to stand with his Savior after six decades and two years of earthly endeavors.
Michael will be missed yet celebrated by friends and family at Foursquare Hilltop Church in Kingman at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2015. The public is welcome to attend.
Michael was born on May 11, 1953, to Beverly Lewis and Raymond Rumsey in San Diego. After graduating high school, he served bravely in the U.S. Army before working as a factotum over several states.
A graduate of Arizona State University, Michael was an erstwhile math teacher and employed at Lowe's in Bullhead City at the time of his death.
A member of Ebenezer Church, Bullhead City and Hilltop Church, Kingman, Michael often sanctified his savior and uplifted the congregation with a six-string guitar.
Michael's surviving relatives are as follow: wife Velia Rumsey and stepchildren Veliuzka and Amy Grace Emerson of Bullhead City; brothers Ron and Joe Kelly; daughters Tina, Julie and Michelle Rumsey; and several grandchildren.
