Body found on Radar Hill identified

Condition of remains made finding the ID difficult

KINGMAN - A woman's body found on Radar Hill Aug. 26 has been identified, Kingman Police Chief Bob DeVries said Friday.

Her identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin, he said.

A man walking his dog in the hills just south of Radar Hill found the woman. According to the Mohave County Medical Examiner's office, the woman's age was difficult to determine due to decomposition.

Identifying tattoos were found on her right calf and left arm, and the woman was wearing several pieces of jewelry.

Police believe that the woman had been dead for a week when she was found.
