Catherine L. Williams, 88, died Aug. 31, 2015, with her family by her side at Kingman Regional Medical Center.
There are no words to describe what a remarkable person she was. As an ordained minister, she dedicated her life to preaching the gospel. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was our prayer warrior. Her TV was almost always on TBN and she loved listening to preachers. Even when she was unable to understand at times, she always praised the Lord.
She loved spending time with her family and she never ran out of kisses and hugs. She loved the Arizona Diamondbacks and rarely missed a game on television. Her grandchildren and caregivers, Danni Owens and Lisa Smith gave up a part of their lives to make sure her last days were not spent in a nursing home, and we all know she was very grateful to be around family.
Catherine is survived by her daughter, Cathy Smith and her husband Dan Smith. When married to her husband Dennis, she adopted his boys Robert and Troy Williams and she is survived by them and their wives, Bonnie and Sandra. She had nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Dennis Williams, her brother John Shumate, and her sister Ruth Irene Nichols.
Her Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Kingman Family Worship Center.
