GOLDEN VALLEY - A father and son were arrested on charges related to running a motorcycle chop shop and drugs Monday in Golden Valley.

Robert Earl Edmondson, 47, and Larry Earl Edmondson, 20, were arrested two days after Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to separate incidents of motorcycle theft in Golden Valley.

A 78-year-old man reported his 600 Enduro motorcycle stolen from his home in the 2400 block of Estrella Road. That man reportedly told deputies he suspected "the Edmondson brothers" of taking his motorcycle since they recently asked about it.

The second alleged victim, a 75-year-old woman, reported her son's three motorcycles were taken from her property in the 1900 block of Glanville Road.

The investigation led deputies to a home in the 3100 block of Tooman Road in an attempt to contact brothers Larry Earl Edmondson and Earl Vincent Edmondson, also 20.

Instead, they found Larry Edmondson and his father, Robert, who reportedly gave deputies consent to search the property. No motorcycles were found, but deputies learned Earl Vincent Edmondson was a home in the 100 block of Higley Road. There they found the girlfriend of Earl Vincent Edmondson, who told deputies he was not at the home.

However, the woman reportedly consented to a search of the property and deputies allegedly found several dismantled dirt bikes and two of the four motorcycles that were reported stolen on Saturday. Edmondson's girlfriend reportedly told deputies he said he purchased the motorcycles.

On Monday, deputies spotted Earl Vincent Edmondson standing outside of a pickup talking to his father and brother, who were in the vehicle, in front of a home in the 3100 block of Tooman Road.

Earl Vincent Edmondson ran from deputies, who could not catch him. Meanwhile, Robert Earl and Larry Earl fled south in the truck. Deputies served a search warrant at the home in the 3100 block of Tooman Road at about 2:30 p.m. Probation officers assisted, as the elder Edmondson and Earl Vincent Edmondson are on probation.

The search allegedly revealed a black motorcycle with a scratched out vehicle identification number, a stolen Mohave County street sign, a glass pipe with residue, a water pipe with residue and a glass jar containing green stems.

Robert Earl Edmondson and Larry Earl Edmondson were taken into custody and charged with possession of vehicle with a tampered VIN and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.

The case against Earl Vincent Edmondson will be forwarded to the Mohave County Attorney for possible charges.
