The annual KABAM (Kingman Area Books Are Magic) festival concluded Saturday in downtown Kingman.

KABAM opened with a Poetry Slam in front of Beale Street Brews on Friday. On Saturday several local and state authors were featured in Metcalfe Park, where activities and book signings were held.

Earlier in the week, book authors visited schools and libraries in Kingman and elsewhere, talking about their work and the importance of literacy.

Featured authors included Lynne Avril, Deborah Laurent, JC Amberlyn and Jim Turner. Many local authors were also in attendance.
