After a wet week that had some people making jokes about stocking fish in more prominent puddles, a drying out has begun with a slight chance of rain on Tuesday as the only precipitation in the immediate forecast. But it has been a wet August so far, with lightning shows such as the one pictured above and ample rain – 1.74 inches since Aug. 1 at the county rain gauge on Airway Avenue at Mohave Wash.
