Letter: The real dumbing down of America

In response to the letter from Lori Gabriel-Dane): The “Dumbing down of America” has been going on for a long time, but Lori mentions the wrong people. I refer to a column in the New York Post about young Democrats having a hard time with the election results. Here are a few excerpts:

“University of Michigan offered its traumatized students coloring books and Play-Doh to calm them.”

“Tufts University offered its devastated students arts and crafts sessions.”

That’s the real dumbing down of America. The immature sore losers that protested in cities across our country is a direct result of 50+ years of the liberal takeover of the education system. Another contribution was made by parents telling their children that they are oh-so-special. And then there’s the hate. It’s rather hypocritical that the Democrats are screaming that Trump is a hater, all the while Twitter exploded with threats against Mr. Trump and his family. Donald Trump is not the one I wanted to be the nominee of the GOP, but the irrational hate being thrown at him is disturbing.

On Election Day, millions of ordinary Americans had finally had enough of corrupt, ruling-class politicians. Informed voters are fed up with ill-informed liberals who keep the career criminals of both parties in office.

Voters gave a clear rebuke of the leftist ideology and narrow-minded, intolerant Democrats in office and in the media.

Sincerely,

Roger Banks
