Lee Willams posts 4-1 mark for third place

The Lee Williams Lady Volunteers captured third place at Friday and Saturday’s River Valley Shootout on Mohave Valley.

KINGMAN – Lee Williams went 4-1 to take third place at the River Valley Shootout Friday and Saturday in Mohave Valley.

After going 2-0 to start the tournament Friday, the Lady Vols suffered their only loss of the invitational to BCI (Canada) Saturday, 48-33. Chania Scott led Lee Williams with nine points. BCI went on to win the tournament.

The Lady Vols bounced back with a 34-23 win over Kingman. Madison Arave led the way with 12 points.

In the third-place game, Lee Williams beat Pahrump (Nevada), 30-21. Sadie Snay finished with a team-high 12 points, Arave scored eight, Scott had seven, and Cassidy Torrey chipped in three.

Lee Williams improved to 6-2 and played Flagstaff Tuesday to open the Grand Canyon Region portion of the schedule. Results were not available by deadline.

The Lady Vols host Tempe in a non-region game at 7 p.m. Friday.
