Money laundering, narcotics

On Jan. 22, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Thomas Topete, 34, and Francisca Topete, 35, both of Pomona, Calif.

Thomas Topete faces felony charges of money laundering, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with misdemeanor driving on a suspended license and a misdemeanor failure to pay fines warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. Francisca Topete faces felony charges of possession of narcotics for sale, possession of narcotics, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop, but the driver did not stop until he pulled into the driveway of a home in the 3800 block of Sunhaven Lane at about 10:45 p.m.

Deputies ordered the driver, Thomas Topete, out of the car. They reportedly recognized him from prior contact and were aware his license was suspended. A record check revealed the status of his license and the warrant and Topete was taken into custody without incident.

A search allegedly revealed Topete possessed $1,680 in cash. Deputies observed white crystals were falling from the cash as they counted the money. The crystals allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine.

Deputies asked Francisca Topete, Thomas Topete's sister, if she possessed anything illegal and she allegedly handed them a glass pipe with residue, a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance and a knotted plastic bag containing 1.3 grams of a heroin. She was taken into custody without incident.

Prison contraband

On Jan. 22, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jerry William Wright, 64, of Bullhead City on a felony charges of taking contraband into correctional facility, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A detention officer at the Mohave County jail advised deputies that two plastic bags containing methamphetamine were allegedly found in Wright's possession during a search.

Warrants

On Jan. 22, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Codi Morgan Damore, 45, of Kingman on a pair of warrants, including a felony possession of dangerous drugs warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

Damoren was also arrested on a misdemeanor failure to pay fines warrant issued by the same court, after deputies contacted him at a home in the 2100 block of Lass Avenue at about 6:10 p.m.

Deputies were at the home for an unrelated reason, but a record check showed the warrants and Damore was taken into custody without incident.

Breaking, entering

On Jan. 23, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Rodney Clark Riddle, 55, of Kingman on felony charges of trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with misdemeanor failure to pay fines warrants issued by Kingman and Globe justice courts.

A man and woman flagged down deputies in the 3000 block of Jagerson Avenue just after 9:05 p.m. The couple told deputies they saw a man kick in the front door of their friends' home. They said they confronted the man, who slammed the door in their face. Deputies learned the homeowner was not home at the time and found Riddle sitting at the dining room table. A record check revealed the warrants and a search allegedly yielded a pipe with marijuana residue.

The homeowner arrived and told deputies he didn't know Riddle and that Riddle did not have his permission to be in the home.

Prison contraband

On Jan. 24, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Daniel Thomas Keller Pelfrey, 26, of Kingman on felony charges of taking contraband into a corrections facility, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and a felony burglary warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court.

Deputies responded to people fleeing a possible burglary at a home in the 3500 block of Canary Lane at about 9 p.m. They saw a male jump over a fence onto Diagonal Way and a male and female walking east in the 3500 block of Robin Lane, near an empty lot connecting Robin to Canary. The pair denied coming from Canary Lane. A record check revealed Pelfrey's warrant and he was taken into custody without incident. The female was released from the scene.

A detention officer allegedly found a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance and burnt aluminum foil.

Parole violation

On Jan. 25, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Arnold Lee Dinges, 52, of Kingman on a felony parole violation warrant issued by the Arizona Department of Corrections and a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

Deputies recognized Dinges and were aware of his warrants when they saw him enter a residence in the 3500 block of Oriole Lane at about 1:30 a.m. Deputies contacted Dinges and a record check revealed the warrants were valid. He was taken into custody without incident.

Drugs warrant

On Jan. 22, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Daniel Lee Thompson, 43, of Kingman on a felony possession of dangerous drugs warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

Deputies contacted Thompson in the 1200 block of McVicar Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. A record check revealed the warrant and he was taken into custody without incident.

Pot warrant

On Jan. 22, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Corey Scott Leonard, 25, of Kingman on a felony possession of marijuana warrant issued by Maricopa County Superior Court.

Deputies contacted Leonard in the 2200 block of Ames Avenue at about 5:10 p.m. A record check revealed the warrant and he was taken into custody without incident.

False report, pipe, warrant

On Jan. 26, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Kyle Andrew Nicholson, 19, of Kingman on a felony charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor false report to law enforcement and a misdemeanor failure to pay fines warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court.

Deputies contacted Nicholson as he was walking on Potter Avenue from Lomita Street at about 9:15 a.m. Nicholson allegedly verbally identified himself as Kyle Andrews, and he was reportedly extremely nervous, according to sheriff's office spokeswoman Trish Carter.

Deputies eventually learned his true identity and a record check revealed the warrant. Nicholson was taken into custody without incident and a search allegedly revealed he possessed a glass pipe with burnt residue and a plastic bag containing white residue.

Fugitive

On Jan. 25, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Brandon Michael Gobble, 29, of Kingman on a fugitive from justice warrant issued by Iron County, Mo., for possession of a controlled substance.

Deputies contacted Gobble during a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Stockton Hill Road at about 12:30 p.m. A record check revealed the warrant and he was taken into custody without incident.

Unlawful use of food stamps

On Jan. 27, Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Henry Alexander Wallace, 73, of Kingman on a felony fraudulent schemes and artifices warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court, on original charges of theft and unlawful use of food stamps.

Deputies contacted Wallace at a home in the 2500 block of Calle Charcas regarding the warrant and he was taken into custody without incident.
