KINGMAN - It's a brand-new year for the Kingman Bass Club and they started off the tournament trail with a one-day tournament on Lake Havasu.

The club had eight teams entered in the event, and when the fish were weighed, it was a pair of familiar names who were on top of the leaderboard.

The husband/wife team of Shane and Tina Moline took top honors, putting together a limit of five largemouth bass that collectively weighed 14.41 pounds.

Second place went to Greg Parker and Eric Woolsey. They had four fish that weighed 10.27 pounds.

Third place was taken by Jim Guin and Dave Bonnee. They had a five-fish limit that weighed 9.84 pounds.

The top three teams received trophies courtesy of Kingman Honda.

The anglers were met with sunny skies and light winds for the tournament, which for some made for some great fishing.

Four of the teams checked in a limit of bass, while two teams got four fish.

Two of the teams blanked.

The club's next tournament will be a two-day event on Martinez Lake, which is located on the Colorado River south of Parker. The event will be on Feb. 20 and 21.

The pre-fish meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Feb. 10 at the Kingman Honda dealership on Stockton Hill Road.
