GOLDEN VALLEY - An 18-year-old Bullhead City woman escaped serious injury Monday afternoon in a one-car rollover on Highway 68 near milepost 11.

Emily Valdez was alone in the car when she drove off the road and lost control. Her Chevrolet sedan ended up on its top in the median and she was ejected. When first responders arrived, they found the woman face-down on the ground and she was ultimately flown to a Las Vegas hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

Valdez was not wearing her seatbelt, according to a spokesman with the Department of Public Safety, and investigators will not complete their investigation until they can interview her. The spokesman said impairment was not a factor in the crash.
