Joseph Ian Hood, 25, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 6, 2016, at home in Kingman.
Joe was born on Feb. 14, 1990, in La Jolla, Calif. Joe grew up in Lakeside and El Cajon, Calif., as well as Weedsport, N.Y., and finally spent the past 10 years in Kingman.
Joe graduated from Kingman High School in 2008. He played Little League baseball and high school football. Joe loved being involved in the Cedar Hills 4H Club, where he had an award-winning animal.
Joe was able to pack a lot in his very short life. He enjoyed skateboarding, bull riding and roping. His life's work was as a ranch hand, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Joe was very outgoing with an infectious silliness which made him a joy to be around and could always brighten the day. Joe absolutely loved his dog BruisZer.
He is survived by his mother, Esther (Robert) Simmons; father, Ronny (Judy) Hood Sr.; brothers Ronny (Ashley) Hood Jr. and Richard (Alisha) Lopp; and sisters Jenyfer (Nicholas) Hayward and Janine Simmons. Joe is also survived by his Aunt Irma and Uncle Gerald Swiney, as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, with a memorial service at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at Sutton Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave. in Kingman. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Forever Be At Peace.
