KINGMAN - After dropping two games by a total of three points already this week, the Lee Williams boys basketball team hosts Division IV, Section III frontrunner Mohave at 7 p.m. today.
Mohave (10-5, 4-0) is ranked No. 15 in D-IV and Lee Williams (8-8, 1-2) is No. 21. The Vols are also in fourth place in the Section III standings, which would be good enough for the section tournament that begins Feb. 11 in Parker.
Lee Williams fell to Kingman Academy (8-9) in a non-section game Monday at KAHS, 56-54. The Vols trailed big at the start of the fourth quarter and with a furious comeback managed to grab the lead from the Tigers. However, Lee Williams missed several key free throws down the stretch and the Academy clawed its way to the win.
Tuesday at Joy Christian (7-6, 3-1), the Vols went into the fourth quarter with a five-point advantage, 43-38, but the Eagles sank four of their 11 3-pointers to come back for the section win, 55-54.
Senior 6-foot-7-inch center Giancarlo Narvarte returned to action after sitting out for several weeks nursing a back injury and led the way for the Vols in the Joy Christian loss with 14 points. Chaise Shropshire scored 13, Braxton Burgess contributed nine, Marco Narvarte added eight, Nate Cottrell had six and Lawrence Campbell finished with two.
GIRLS SOCCER: Senior game for KHS

Kingman (1-9-1) hosts Mohave (8-4) after falling to River Valley Tuesday, 7-0.
