A wrong-way driver on U.S. 93 in Golden Valley sideswiped an oncoming car a few minutes before 9 a.m. Monday.

According to Golden Valley Fire spokesman Butch Meriwether, neither driver was injured after an elderly woman mistakenly thought the transition road to Highway 68 was the U.S. 93 onramp.

Meriwether said she drove for about a mile before she hit a Buick sedan driven by an unidentified man.

Highway Patrol troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety are investigating, said Meriwether.
