KINGMAN - Derek Brown pitched a one-hitter to lead the Kingman Bulldogs past Parker Tuesday at KHS, 8-0.
Brown threw a complete game for the win. He limited the Broncs to a lead-off single in the fourth inning and he hit a batter in the first. Brown struck out five in seven innings of work.
"Brown threw a gem. The offense was clicking," said KHS baseball coach Chad Baitinger. "Pinto has proven he can hit the ball hard."
Junior catcher Anthony Pinto went 4-for-4 with two doubles and he scored twice. Center fielder Kurtis Toledo singled and scored two runs, and third baseman Luke Ness crossed the plate three times.
