KINGMAN - It was all Kingman all the time Tuesday, as the Lady Bulldogs poured on a mercy-rule beating at Parker, 17-0.
Kingman High (1-2) picked up its first win of the season and is at the Wrangler Classic Softball Tournament in Wickenburg today and Saturday with the goal of getting the younger players some much needed experience to take into the rest of the regular season.
Natalie Borgens and Payton Chamberlain combined on a four-inning no-hitter for the Lady Bulldogs. Both struck out four Broncs (0-2) in the win.
Taylor Olivas went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs batted in. Ariana McKowan had two hits and an RBI, and Anna Dunn was 2-for-2 with an RBI. Dunn also walked twice.
"We're happy to get our first win and hope to carry some momentum to the Wickenburg tournament," said KHS softball coach Craig Lee. "The girls played well."
