The Academy (1-2) scored five runs in the sixth inning to move ahead, 9-6. Unfortunately, Bourgade (3-2) evened it up with three runs of its own, and both teams went scoreless in the seventh. Bourgade scored twice in the bottom of the eighth after the Tigers had taken a 10-9 lead.
Andrew Quick, Donnie Tatham and Quentin Lopez each collected two hits for the Tigers. Quick tripled and scored twice, Tatham had a double and two runs batted in, and Lopez drove in three.
