KINGMAN - An alleged shoplifter who also reportedly tried to harm a store employee who confronted him Sunday faces felony charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Richard Craig Best, 43, a Kingman transient, allegedly stole canned air dusters, but not before Walmart loss prevention employees attempted to detain him. He reportedly pulled a box cutter and lunged at one of the employees before fleeing.
Kingman Police located him nearby, allegedly huffing a can of air duster near the store. He reportedly resisted arrest. Police used a Taser on him to detain him.
Best was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center and then to the Mohave County jail.
