KINGMAN - The Arizona Partnership for Immunization has honored KRMC's Joshua Tree Pediatrics with the Daniel T. Cloud Toddler Award in recognition of the practice's high immunization rate.

The Toddler Award is presented to practices that have achieved the highest standard of immunizations by reaching a 90 percent coverage level for 4 DTaP, 3 Polio, 1 MMR, 3 Hib, 3 Hep B and 1 Varicella for 2-year-olds.

Joshua Tree has exceeded those expectations. Jennifer Steed, MOC for Joshua Tree, says that 97 percent of toddler patients in the practice have received the entire vaccine series up to 2 years of age.

Steed and Vanessa Selina, MA, traveled to Phoenix to accept the award at the 23rd Annual Arizona Immunization Conference in April.

When asked about the significance of the award, Dr. Lyanna LaFredo said, "I feel proud of our team and parents for working together to protect our children from serious childhood disease."
