KINGMAN - The California woman who allegedly feigned a medical emergency during an arrest in order to attempt an escape has been indicted by the Mohave County Grand Jury.

Harley McKeag-Phillip, 26, was arrested April 26 after Kingman Police officers tracked activity of a credit card she allegedly stole from an employee at a restaurant in the 3200 block of Andy Devine Avenue.

McKeag allegedly accessed an employee-only area of the restaurant and stole a purse. She then allegedly used the credit card she found inside the purse to make a purchase.

That transaction led police to a Kingman motel, where McKeag was found. She allegedly possessed the stolen credit card.

McKeag was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center after complaining of an unspecified medical problem and allegedly attempted to flee from hospital staff and officers. She was captured outside the hospital.

The grand jury indicted her on third-degree burglary, second-degree escape, credit card theft and fraudulent use of a credit card...
